Acoustic instruments backed by electronic beats unite with powerful vocals
and what evolves is magic when an upright-bass player (Arnaud Francelet)
and soulful vocalist (Trix Maeder) collide. The sound of bloom in stereo is
a refined yet energetic mixture of different moods, underlined by catchy
melodies, which linger and haunt your mind.
Arnaud and Trix met in 2002, when she recorded some songs at Arnaud’s
recording studio in Switzerland. Ever since that fateful day, they have been
playing and singing in the same band, as well as, composing and writing
songs together. By 2008, after the name and formation of their band had
changed several times, Arnaud and Trix
finally decided to continue and
realize their musical vision as a duo, following archetypes reminiscent of
Everything but the Girl and The Eurhythmics.
The outcome of this new concept has enriched the quality and inspiration
of their songs in a number of ways. First, by the cultural exposure and
inspiration followed by positive local feedback during their production
and recording in pulsing cities like New York City and Bangkok. And finally,
bloom in stereo’s songs also benefits from the collaboration with international
musicians all over Europe and the World in sundry
tasks from guest studio
musicians, live performance with international players on stage to flesh out
the instrumental part of the compositions, and in production as well.
For post-production, the duo has been getting international producers and
sound ingeneers on board. Among them are Guillaume Macherel,
Geoffrey Gurd and Dave Drape. They are of invaluable support during
the final arrangements and the mixing of the songs.
The first official album authentic was released in March 2011 by the label
damp-music. The second album is already in the middle of production.
The new songs will be even more energetic and electronic, so that they
will certainly animate the audience of any dance club.
During live concerts, the duo convinces audiences to be deeply moved
with a passionate vocal and stellar instrumental performance, all with
an independent, innovative style of music. Backed up live by a rotating
host of impressive musicians and recently by a DJ, who takes care of
the electronic elements, bloom in stereo’s talents, experience and
professionalism on the World stage ensures a perfected live acoustic
experience, which only extends to their songs, lifting them to a higher level.

on Jazz songs or by listening
to talented singers, who inspire her for her vocal
arrangements in bloom in stereo’s songs.
Her vocal talent was also discovered by the record label Damp Music.
Her soulful voice,
which combines perfectly with the smooth music of bloom in stereo, convinced them to
take her under contract.
Many of the lyrics of bloom in stereo were also written by Trix. She gets
her
ideas from
everyday life and personal experiences. Her aim is to
encourage
the listeners to think
about the world and themselves in it,
and to leave a lasting impression by combining the
right words with
a beautiful melody.

like bloomnotes
or Flashgarden. She is able to sing and interpret an immense repertoire of songs, ranging

Arnaud Francelet Bio

At the age of nine, while growing up in Switzerland, Arnaud had his first studio
experience with a local band. Moved by an inner voice that told him this was
his calling, he then, quickly and keenly, started to compose his own songs.
From such a young age, Arnaud knew that he wanted to become a musician.
After honing his bass instrument for years in Switzerland, he then went to
Los Angeles at the age of 21 to get a diploma at the Bass Institute of
Technology (BIT). Since then he has been active as a music teacher and
double-bass player in diverse formations (from Duos and Trios to Big Bands).
Mr. Francelet has performed as a serious Bass player (double, acoustic,
electric bass) in several music groups for more than 25 years. He is an
adept composer and gifted performer, engaging musically and intellectually
with those whom he shares the stage or studio. Talent-wise he is an
inspiring and consummate musician, versed in a plethora of instruments.
In fact, Arnaud plays most of the instruments on bloom in stereo’s latest
album, not just the bass...
Additionally, Arnaud has been integral in numerous studio productions for
pop, rock, and jazz recordings of other musicians, including and besides
his own. He composes music for several different bands, both in the genres
of Jazz, Pop and Rock.
Having toured the world over, with one band or another, Arnaud has had
excellent international, live, on-stage performances all over Europe, India,
Asia and the USA.
Arnaud has performed as a double-bass or electric-bass player with
international and Swiss jazz greats like: Markus Moser , John di Martino,
